Memorandum by Special Assistant to the Attorney General Warren W. Grimes regarding the Proletarian Party of America, a small communist political organization established in 1920 centered in Detroit, Michigan. Grimes spends the bulk of his report providing a summary of Bureau of Investigation reports regarding two top leaders of the organization, Dennis E. Batt and John Keracher.

A copy of this internal Department of Justice report appears in the so-called "Old German Files" of the DoJ, published by the National Archives and Records Administration as part of collection M-1085, reel 940. The Bureau of Investigation record number for this document is 202600-1778-45X.
